Painting - refers to the process of applying color on a flat surface or the practice of applying paint,
pigment, color or other medium to a surface (support base).

Easel Painting
 most common form of painting which involves applying color to a board s that is fioxed on an
upright support called an easel
 meant to be hanged on a wall after creating them

COLLAGE
 combines images in single work
 entails cutting and pasting materials such as paper, fabric, tin foil and other relatively flat materials
onto a board or canvas.

TELON PAINTING
 a telon is described as a backdrop or background for the stage which are used for komedya,
sarswela, and sinakulo, the popular forms of a theater in the country

MURALS
 huge wall-sized painting used to impart messages to the public

JEEPNEY AND CALESA PAINTING


 the calesa is typically painted using one color. The border of the calesa are decorated with
geometric patterns, repetitive patterns, an/ or thin lines
 jeepney paintings evolved from calesa painting.
 In a typical jeepney, a logo, number, or painting is covered near the driver’s seat, as well as near the
seats adjacent to it.

 refers to painting of the space inside of a part of a house or a building
 usually reveals the social class of the family living in that particular house, as well as the traits of the
people living in it

Nudes
 paintings that portray the unclothed human figure

D. Application

GROUP ACTIVITY
 Group yourselves into four.
 Create your own painting based on the forms and themes of painting that you learned using
painting/ coloring materials.
 The painting should be related to COVID 19 pandemic.
 After painting, paste your output on the board and explain your work in front of the class using the
guide questions on the next slide.
