BACK GROUNG /INTRODUCTION

Teenage pregnancy has become a problem for Mpasaso NO2 community.And it is caused by Lack of
information about sexual and reproductive health and right, also sexual violence,and lack of parental
care.These are also some effect of teenage pregnancy, it leads to pre-mature dead,It may also leads
to STDs which can also leads to poverty.So with my knowledge in design,I will like to design a poster
to educate the community on the negative effect of teenage pregnancy.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Teenage pregnancy is one of the biggest problem at Mpasaso NO2 community, which is located at
Ahafo-Ano south West district. Female children around the ages of 12 to15 get pregnant which leads
to school drop out.In this case, I will like to educate the community on negative effect of teenage
pregnancy with the help of a posters.

OBJECTIVES

This project seek to address the negative effect of teenage pregnancy using posters.

PURPOSES

The purpose of this artwork is to educate the teenage girls at Mpasaso NO2 to desist from becoming
pregnant as a teenage with the help of a poster.

METHODS /TECHNIQUES AND PROCEDURES

The method I intend to used to execute the project is poster (By Graphic design methods).

Posters are a written or printed notices which is posted publicly to communicate with the general
public.posters could be in a text,pictorial or picture and text. In this case I will be making a picture
and text posters. Because it is legible and also a communicating tool.The techniques that will be
used is drawing and painting.I will take an egg shell paper and use ruler to measure the length and
with that will be used for the posters.I will then use a pencil to sketch an image of a teenage
pregnant girl who is in a wretched state.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS

The tools and materials that I will used to execute the project are as follows:

PENCILS:It will be used for drawing the prototype onto the piece of paper.

PALETTE KNIFE:It will be used for mixing colours.

CUTTER KNIFE:It will be used for sharpening pencils as well as cutting pieces of paper s.

PERSONAL COMPUTERS:It will be used for making the final touches on the posters.

PRINTER:It will be used to attached to computer to print out the posters.

ACRYLIC PAINT:It will be used to paint the posters drawn on the paper before transferring it to the
computer.

BRISTLE BRUSH:It will be used for painting.

SCISSORS:It will be used for cutting pieces of paper.

ERASER.It will be used to erase written or drawn pencils.

BUDGET FOR THE PROJECT

The budget towards the project are as follows.An estimated amount of GH400 will be needed to
complete this research work.
