ABSTRACT
In the “Study on Types of Vehicles Used By Staff Members and Student of LPU their
Importance” we collected data from different parking space of our university. Initially we
figured out what is the variation of various types of Vehicle that are using by staff and members
and student of LPU. After that I checked this variation of vehicles. Some students are using
bicycle and some are using motor cycle and some are using car. These variations cannot
discriminate the value of people.
A vehicle tracking system combines the use of automatic vehicles location in individual vehicles
with software that collects these fleet data for a comprehensive picture of vehicle locations.
Modern vehicle tracking systems commonly use GPS or GLONASS technology for locating the
vehicle, but other types of automatic vehicle location technology can also be used.
Vehicle information can be viewed on electronic maps via the internet or specialized software.
Urban public transit authorities are an increasingly common user of vehicle tracking systems,
particularly in large cities, Vehicles tracking systems are commonly used by fleet operators for
fleet management functions such as fleet tracking, routing, dispatching, on-board information
and security. Others scenarios in which this technology is employed include:
1. Stolen vehicle recovery: Both consumer and commercial vehicles can be outfitted with
RF or GPS units to allow to do tracking and recovery. In the case of LoJack, the police
can activate the tracking unit in the vehicle directly and follow tracking signals.
2. Asset tracking: Companies needing to track valuable assets for insurance or other
monitoring purposes can now plot the real time asset location on a map and closely
monitor movement and operating status.
3. Field service management: Companies with a fields service workforce and services such
as repair or maintenance, must be able to plan field workers’ time, schedule.
The transport people can view all the information related to who are the employees utilizing
the transportation. They can take decision to approve or disapprove the request placed for
transportation.
