Detailed Lesson Area Probability
Plan Teaching Dates June 8, 2022 Quarter FOURTH QUARTER
and Time 2:30 – 3:30 pm

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts correlation and
regression analysis.
B. Performance Standard The learner is able to perform correlation and regression analyses on real-
life problems in different disciplines.
C. Learning Competencies The learner solves problem involving correlational analysis. (M11/12SP – IVh-3)
D. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson the learners should be able to:
1. compute the Pearson’s sample correlation coefficient r using Microsoft excel;
2. interpret the strength of correlation between two variables based on the
computed correlation coefficient; and
3. solve real-life problems using Pearson’s sample correlation coefficient.
E. Interfaced Competency

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous ELICIT The last group on the previous session (group work) will present
lesson or presenting their work. They will show how to calculate Pearson’s r using
the new lesson manual computation.

lesson the boxes below with the appropriate direction and strength
of correlation.

I. Evaluating learning EVALUATION The learners will answer the problem below.

J. Additional activities EXTEND - The learners will be tasked to make a conclusion of the situations
for application or Assignment below.
remediation 1. The correlation coefficient r between the number of bags of
popcorn and the number of sodas sold at each performance of the
circus over one week was found to be 0.62. Which conclusion can
be drawn from the result?
2. An ornithologist, a person who studies every aspect of birds,
found out that the correlation coefficient r between wing length
and tail length of 12 different species of bird was 0.43. Which
conclusion can be drawn from the result?
V. REMARKS
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this
week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your

remediation who scored below 80%
C. Did the remedial lesson worked? No. of learners
who have caught up with the lesson

use/discover which I wish to share with other
teachers?
