About Common Cooling Seawater System (CCWS) Phase-III Project, Qatar Petroleum:

Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLC) has expanded rapidly with industrial facilities over the years and is planned to expand further over
the forthcoming years with the construction and commissioning of various industrial facilities, in order to enhance value and/or
output of the hydrocarbon reserves within the State of Qatar.
As per the RLC Master plan, RLC is supplying seawater for cooling water applications, desalinated water for process
requirements, potable water and backup firewater network to the End users in RLC.
As part of enhancing the output of the hydrocarbon reserves in the State of Qatar and in line with Qatar vision, Qatar Petroleum is
developing the "North Field Expansion (NFE) project" where 4 new mega LNG trains with total capacity of MMTPA will be
implemented. It is proposed to install a common Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant catering to NFE and future Petrochemical project.
The seawater feeds to the common RO plant located at W2&3, which will produce desalinated water for the cooling towers make-
up and other applications. In line with the NFE requirement, Common Cooling Water System (CCWS) Phase-Ill project is required
to be implemented to supply seawater to the common RO plant located in Lot W2&3 for 4 LNG trains and future Petrochemical
project.

* Recently given the additional responsibility to provide pre-bid support for EPC projects (Saih Rawal Combine Cycle Power plant
(PDO) project) which includes various packages such as STG, HRSG, Air Compressor, Pipes & Fittings(Piping), Air Cooled
Condensers, EOT cranes, HVAC, etc.

Key Achievements & Recognitions

New Supplier development - Earlier we use to purchase European make pumps. I had developed a new supplier, who
manufactures in India. Orders for pumps were placed both for SNCP and Ghaba North project requirements. Pumps are received
and are running successfully from last 6 months. This resulted in a saving of OMR 9,
Project item savings - Achieved a saving of OMR, against budget.
Consumable savings - Achieved a savings of OMR, by re-negotiating with regular suppliers and purchasing from alternate/new
suppliers.
New Sub-contractor development: For PDO project fire proofing & Insulation services, there are only 3 approved
Subcontractors. I had introduced a new sub-contractor, Motivated them to visit SNCP site repeatedly. Convinced SNCP Project
team to consider them and take PDO approval.
This resulted in a saving of OMR, for SNCP project.
Based on SNCP PDO approval, ZGP also awarded fire proofing & insulation orders to them (order value approx. OMR, ) which
resulted in savings for Al-Hassan.
Project item savings - Achieved a saving of OMR, against budget.
Consumable savings - Achieved a savings of OMR, by re-negotiating with regular suppliers and purchasing from alternate/new
suppliers.
