DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Responsibility to carryout inspection in accordance with as SATIP

 Ensuring all the material used in project are approved by client and material technical
submission has been submitted prior to commencing the work at site.
 Instructing proper guidance to Qc inspector personnel resolving any problem in site related to
quality activity.
 Responsible for all the mechanical quality concern activity like material receiving, storage and
proper preservation, on site and off site.
 Preparing RFI for Daily inspection activity at site and updating the RFI in QMIS after Inspection
completed.
 Verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves and fittings) and its conformance to the
installation drawings.
 Verifying that welding inspection has been performed and joints have been released
 Verify that dimensions and alignment tolerances of the piping systems are as per constructs
specifications.
 In-process surveillance to verify compliance with the specified piped erection procedure,
including flange alignments, torquing, cleanliness.
 Performing piping walk down inspection and completing punch lists. Verifying that punch list
items have been dealt with in accordance with the contractual arrangements.
  Reviewing and verifying the completeness of piping test packages (hydro or pneumatic) prior to
testing.
 Witnessing final piping tests.
 Coordinates with Design and NDT Department.
 Monitors all Fabrication and Welding activities on shop floor and issuance of Non-Conformance
Report whenever necessary.
 Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection till the final acceptance of
the piping systems

 Preparation of Quality Plans according to the Inspection Test Plan.

  Maintaining interface with the Client (at the shop level) to ensure that all contractual and code
requirements are met as far as the inspection scope is concerned..
 Inspect joint preparation, joint configuration, and cleanliness and preheat temperature as per
WPS.
 Prepare all installation and selection documents for all mechanical equipment’s.
 Collaborate with a team of designers to complete all mechanical capital projects and provide all
engineering support.
 Provide support of all expense projects and maintain accuracy in all piping projects and ensure
compliance with all piping material specifications and maintain knowledge on all orders.
 Inspect all mechanical equipment and analyze all equipment’s are ensured adherence to all
present technology. Inspect flange assembly, alignment.
 Inspect gasket material for correct type, material, and rating.
 Inspect flange assembly components for size, material, and length.
 Inspect gasket crush after bolt up is completed.
 Witness flange assembly torque and document torque value.
 Inspect structural bolts are correct size and type.
 Verify correct bolt tightening technique is followed.
 Verify the correct torque value is achieved.
 Provide assistance to all senior engineers and recommend improvements to all design and travel
to site to analyze all equipment and maintain efficient relation with all plant personnel.
 Interpret all codes and maintain overall performance of all piping activities.
 Assist to make arrangements for all business trips for various departmental tasks and design all
technical specifications and assist to procure and fabricate all materials.
 To assist the Site Superintendent & coordinate the supervisor’s activity, carry out & implement
the QA/QC program, arrange & conduct meeting under the Site Superintendent direction. 
 To conduct all required tests in accordance with contract documents and to prepare filling in &
sign all reports & forms as necessary for the compliance with Contract Quality Standards. 
 Carrying out a preliminary inspection of materials of construction & reviewing the material mill
certificate. 
 Preparing the weld inspection & material traceability certificate & updating the same. 
 To check the field welds & consumables comply with project qualifications. 
 To check all repairs are performed correctly & nondestructive tests are regularly repeated .
 Coordinating with quality control departments & representing matters with the client.  
 Conducting through stage-wise inspection as per procedures / codes as well as alignment &
assembly of equipment at site during installation. 
 Preparation of Hydro test Package & Final Punch Listing. 
 Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems.
 Coordination with the field engineers for any discrepancy & notify material storages in proper
manner at site and material lay down area.
