The heart is a fist-sized organ that pump blood throughout of the human body, it is the center organ of the
cardiovascular system it is responsible for pumping oxygenated blood to other body parts, pumping hormones and other
vital substances to different parts of the body, Receiving deoxygenated blood and carrying metabolic waste products
from the body and pumping it to the lungs for oxygenation and maintaining homeostasis. To function, it consist of
chambers, valves and blood vessel. Specifically there are four chambers the right and left atrium and right and left
ventricle. The upper chambers, the right and left atria, receive incoming blood. The lower chambers, the more muscular
right and left ventricles, pump blood out of the heart. The heart valves, which keep blood flowing in the right direction,
are gates at the chamber openings where then the Blood vessels carry blood from your heart to the rest of your body.
They're essential for making sure your organs and tissues get the oxygen and nutrients they need to work.
