VI. Introduction of the Program/Activity

 Background and Rationale
Human beings require food to grow, reproduce, and maintain good health.
Without food, our bodies could not stay warm, build or repair tissue, or maintain a
heartbeat. Eating the right foods can help us avoid certain diseases or recover faster when
illness occurs. Eating the right kinds of food gives us energy to do our work. Children are
very active in everyday activity, that is why they need to be feed sufficiently. Scarcity of
food may affect their mental health that may become a factor of their learning. The
School-based Feeding Program of Kawit Elementary School is supported by the National
Government Feeding Program. There are thirty one (31) children who are beneficiaries of
the said program.
 Program/Activity Design Features
The activity was conducted face to face without compromising the minimum health
and safety protocols set by IATF.

Due to Covid 19 pandemic, their parents will come to school to get the food packs of
their children. The food packs will cover the whole week supply for the pupils.
X. Overall Impressions, Comments and Issues Encountered
In doing this program there are some problems met

1. Date changes of delivery

2. Inconvenience of transporting food supply
3. Spoiling of food because of parents’ failure to get the food pack

The SBFP was conducted successfully. Certain difficulties and worries need to be
addressed, such as the fact that some parents prefer to work than to attend.

XI. Recommendation
Based on the problems met, the following are some recommendation and suggestions
based on their actual experiences.

1. Get informed of the supply delivery

2. Repair road problems
3. Request parents to get the food pack on time
