DESCRIPTION/NARRATIVE

Bentuco Elementary School strongly supports the advocacy on Gender Sensitivity and

Related Laws. It also provides budget for the activities through the MOOE. Project Proposals

had been approved by the Schools Division Superintendent before any activities were

implemented.

GAD Coordinator initiated, planned and implemented different school-based activity

such as short talk on VAWC during the Grade VI Homeroom PTA Meeting by our principal.

The GAD coordinator and the OIC/Master Teacher coordinated with the PNP on Gender

and Development Seminar on December 14, 2018 wherein Anti- VAWC was one of the topics,

SPO3 Mercy Espeňa-Taňada served as the speaker on VAWC. PO2 Geraldine Navarroza

talked about Juvenile delinquency, PO1 Bernadetta Estiller discussed the laws on prohibited

drugs. Participants to this activity were the teachers of Bentuco Elementary School. The

expenses for the said Seminar were taken from the School MOOE GAD Fund.

GAD programs and projects gradually served as an avenue to enhanced awareness and

understanding of a VAWC –free community and the expected role of every individual in the

society.
