Part 7. Course Policies

1. Class Discussion. Synchronous class sessions should be held during the official schedule of the class. While attendance is not checked during
synchronous class sessions, students are still expected to attend and actively participate in this course.

On the duration of the class, students may be required whenever necessary to turn-on their camera facing them. Students are required to put on “mute”
mode their device until such time that they are being required by the teachers to talk.
Recorded class discussions will be posted in the google classroom for the students who are unable to attend a synchronous class session.

Some online platforms have a feature of “raising hand” icon. Student may press this icon so that the teachers may know that they have concerns. Students
are directed to refrain from using the “raising hand” icon if the purpose is merely to delay the conduct of classes.

2. Class Behavior and Decorum. Students are required to wear decent attire during synchronous class sessions. Decent hairstyle must be observed (hair-
dyeing is allowed on a minimal aesthetic level). Male students are not allowed to wear earrings. Students shall not engage in any form of bullying in the
conduct of synchronous class sessions. Students are advised to observe proper Netiquettes.

3. Assignments. Assignments will be posted on the course web page. All deliverables should be submitted electronically (through Google Classroom).
Submit early to avoid last minute submission related problems. Email submission will not be considered and accepted unless it is for late submission only.

4. Late Submission. You can turn in your assignment up to 48 hours late. No assignment will be accepted after 48 hours, and will be given a score of 50. If
you are struggling with an assignment, talk to the instructor for help well before the deadline.

5. Communications. Your best bet for getting questions answered quickly is to post to the course discussion group. If you think your question is not
appropriate for the newsgroup, feel free to email the instructor. Please make sure to include “[Course Code]” in the subject line of your email. Finally,
before email the instructor, please check the newsgroup; your question may have already been answered. Communication should be coursed through
University-issued email accounts: @lspu.edu.ph accounts for students and faculty. For all forms of communication, students are advised to communicate
during office hours (8:00am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday).

6. Activity/Performance Task/Examination. Students who cannot take any of the activity, performance task, and/or examination due to technical difficulties
(e.g. poor internet connection), illness or other serious causes must file an online petition within five (5) days of the missed activity/task/examination to the
course instructor. Original supporting documentation must also be submitted within five (5) days. Late petitions will NOT be considered.

7. Cheating/Plagiarism. Plagiarism is a form of academic fraud and is treated very seriously. The work that you submit must be your own and cannot
contain anyone else’s work or ideas without proper citation or credit. The policy of your faculty or school will be in effect. You are encouraged to discuss
problems with your classmates; however, all work that you submit must be your own. When you submit an assignment with your name on it, you are
certifying that you have done the work on that assignment yourself. Remember that the penalty for cheating is always worse than handing in the
assignment late.

8. Data Privacy. Posting or sharing of personal data (e.g., photos, videos. etc.) on social media must always have a legitimate purpose. Lectures, modules,
PowerPoint presentations, videos, and other instructional materials provided by your instructors/professors is a sole property of the instructors/professors
themselves and of the university, reproduction and copying other than its intended purpose is prohibited.
