Digital photography is a photography that uses digital cameras to capture images. A digital camera or any
device with a built-in camera like your mobile phone, android device or tablet is used with an array of electronic
photo detectors to capture the image focused by the lens. The image captured is digitized and stored as a file ready
for digital processing, viewing or printing.
Photography is the art of creating images by recording light or electronically by means of an image sensor or
light sensitive material like photographic film.
Digital camera is a camera that stores the photos and videos it takes in an electronic format instead of a film
(e.g. Non Single Lens Reflex SLR or compact camera, Digital Single Lens Reflex DSLR camera).
In 1975, the first self-contained (portable) digital camera was created by Steve Sasson of Eastman Kodak.
Sasson’s camera used Charged-Coupled Device CCD image sensor chips developed by Fairchild Semiconductor in
1973, that uses a Charged-Coupled Device CCD image sensor, stored digital pictures and directly connected to a
computer for downloading images.
