III. CREATIVITY
Direction: Make your own situations showing the different random sampling techniques. Write your sample statement
on the space provided below the sampling techniques.

1. Systematic random sampling

Situation:
The management of an indoor shopping mall wants to survey its shoppers about the layout of the stores in the
mall. They begin by surveying a random person who enters the mall, then survey every 4th person who enters until
they have surveyed 100 people.

2. Stratified random sampling

Situation:
The management of an indoor shopping mall wants to survey its shoppers about the layout of the stores in the
mall.At a specified time one day, they send a team of interviewers to survey 2 randomly selected customers in
each of the 48 stores in the mall.

3. Cluster sampling
Situation:
The management of an indoor shopping mall wants to survey its shoppers about the layout of the stores in the
mall. One day, they randomly select one store from each of the differently colored sections of the mall. They select
the stores numbered 2, 8, 28, and 40, and survey all of the shoppers in each store.

4. Simple random sampling

Situation:
The management of an indoor shopping mall wants to survey its shoppers about the layout of the stores in the
mall. Raffle tickets are handed out at each entrance. Ninety-six of the raffle tickets were randomly selected ahead
of time and marked. Customers who receive the marked tickets are to be surveyed.
