Types of Room Reservation

1. Regular reservation- refers to an


agreement that a hotel makes to hold a
room until the cut off date and time
2. Confirmed Reservation-

applies when the terms of reservation


have been verified. Both the hotel and
the reserving party agree on the dates,
rates and billing arrangement.
3.Guaranteed Reservation-

is an agreement that the hotel makes to


hold room for a guest until the guest
arrives. In return, the guest or his
company assures payment

is a special rate given to corporate
accounts as an incentive for the
patronage . The rate may reflect 10 to
20 % discount form the rack rate.
3.Volume Accounts Rate
is given when there is a guaranteed
number of room nights within a specific
time frame.
4. Government Rate
since some government staying in hotels
are given specific per diem, the hotel hat
is interested to attract this type of market
will have special rate to match the
budget of this group.

Then check if there is an available room
corresponding to the room type
preferred.
3. Inform the guest if a room is available, if
the requested room type is not available,
offer alternative room that is available.

4. Once room availability is confirmed, get


detailed information:

5. Inform the caller about the 6 o’clock
policy

The 6 o’clock Policy


The 6’ o clock policy means that the
guest with reservation is required to
arrive not later than 6’o clock PM of the
arrival date.
