Mikee Alba PT #1

Situation: Mikee wanted to see how far she could jump. Her vertical velocity is 2.5m/s
and she spent 1 second on the air. What is the maximum height and maximum distance
of her jump?
Given: t:
Vx = 2.5m/s dx = vxt
g = 9.8m/s2 t = (2.5m/s)/2.5m
V0y = 0m/s2 t = 1s
t = 1s
dx = ? dymax:
dymax = ? dymax = V0yt + ½gt2
dymax = (0m/s)(0.5s) + ½(9.8m/s2)
dx: (0.5s)2

dx = vxt dymax = (4.9m/s2)(0.25s2)

dx = (2.5m/s)(1s) dymax = 1.225m or 1.23m

dx = 2.5m
