I.OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners should be
able to:
1) demonstrate an understanding of the
anecdote,
2) interpret the anecdote using appropriate
multimedia format,
3) apply ICT skills in crafting an adaptation of
a literary text; and
4) show an appreciation on the use of
multimedia to creatively interpret a literary
text.

A. Introduction (What I Need to Know)
The teacher will present the following objectives
to the students through slide deck
presentation/screen sharing:
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be
able to:
1) demonstrate an understanding of the
anecdote,
2) interpret the anecdote using appropriate
multimedia format; and
3) apply ICT skills in crafting an adaptation of
a literary text.

Activity I. Tech Recall
Directions: Identify the type of multimedia format
described in each of the statements below. Use a
clean paper and pen to show your answer after
each question is shown. (Teacher will give further
instructions to the learners)

1) This refers to a stylized method that
represents the occurrence of words within
a textual content such as websites,
articles, speeches and databases.
2) It is an electronic medium for the
recording, copying, replaying, broadcasting
and displaying of moving visual media.
3) This is a website containing short articles
called posts that are changed regularly.
4) These are series of slides, often displayed
on a large screen using projector.
5) It is a graphical way to represent ideas and
concepts.

Students will be given five minutes to read the
featured text available in their modules, pages
46-47.
Process Questions:
1. Was the anecdote a product of a creative
imagination? Why or why not?
2. Given all the purposes of an Anecdote, what do
you think is the aim of the writer in his story?

Directions: Read again the selection “Home of the
Ashfall”. On our 21st Century Literature Facebook
Page, share your own experiences during a
calamity or disaster, including how you handled
the situation. Invite your FB friends to
react/comment on your post.
