I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:

a. Describe Information Communication Technology.


b. Enumerate the components of ICT.
c. Determine the ICT skills that the learners need to acquire.
d. Apply the ICT skills acquired.
e. Appreciate the significance of ICT skills in studying literary adaptations.
A. Content Standard The learner will be able to understand and appreciate literary texts in various
genres across national literature and cultures.
B. Performance Standard The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding and appreciation of 21st
century literature of the world through an adaptation of a text into other creative
forms using multimedia.

IV. PROCEDURES
a. Introduction -Prayer
-Attendance
- Show class rules
- Students will answer the pre-test or “What I Know” on page 24.
b. Development - Review of Past lessons. Learners will describe short story, enumerate its basic
elements and give electronic resources to read a particular story.
- Students will answer “What’s New” in which they will identify the jumbled
words through its definition.
- Students will read the story entitled “Rich People Problem” by Kevin Kwan.
Find out the significant characters, places, events that may refer to the element
of the story. After reading the story they will answer the follow-up questions:
1. Who are the characters of the story?

2. Can you tell the significant places reflected on the story?


3. What is the theme of the story?
- The students will give the elements of the Rich People Problems.
- The teacher will discuss the Information and Communication Technology,
its components and the different ICT skills that students should possess that
will
surely help them in their studies.
c. Engagement - The teacher will ask the learners what are the uses of Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Publisher. Among the ICT skills, which
of them they already have. Students will give the importance of ICT skills in their
lives.
- The students will enumerate the steps on how they can generate slides
presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.
d. Assimilation -The students will make a slide presentation of the basic elements of the
story entitled “Rich People Problems” by using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Together with their chosen partner, they will rate each others work based on
rubric below.
