CAPACITY BUILDING ON PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICE

NARRATIVE REPORT

 The school has successfully conducted a Capacity Building on Psychosocial Support Service
Training at Magdaup National High School last September 25, 2020.
 There were 3 speakers assigned to discuss the topics on the said training: Designated
Guidance Counselor and MAPEH Teacher, Ms. Phoebe Beata T. Napigkit, discussed about
Emotional Intelligence; Guidance Counselor and ESP Teacher Mr. Rogel Julius A. Aquilisca
shared his expertise about Stress Management, Mrs. Ellen Joyce Rojas, ARPAN Teacher,
talked about Mental Health and with the school MNHS LDRRM Coordinator, Mr.Jimmy
O.Kho and SSG Coordinator, Reynaldo C. Cabarce.
 The school invited guests’ lecturer from the PSS team. They were Mrs. Diseree F. Montellana and
Marnelli S.Bayron, both Guidance Counselors from Zamboanga Sibugay NHS, and Mrs. Emily Lao, a
Guidance Counselor of Ipil National High School.
 PSS training emphasized the 5 house rules especially the last rules which stated that “ This is a safe
place, what is shared here will remain here”. It showcased lots of activities that helped participants
reduced stress such as “high-five, bloom, action-reaction, and mirroring and puppet- puppeteer.” It
offered information that could be used in the current situation and for the future.
 All participants were very lively in all the activities especially on the sharing part about “Issue Ng
Buhay Ko.”
 An impression of the training was given by Ms. Yvonne Mae S. Javar. A challenged was given by
MNHS Principal, Carmelita G. Siano.
 PSS Training ended with a Closing Prayer.
