Detailed Lesson Plan in English 2

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:

a. Identify the compound words


b. Form compound words from the given set of words
c. Recognize the compound words in the given sentences

1. Daily Routine

a. Greeting

- Good morning class! -Good morning ma'am.

b. Prayer

- Who will lead the prayer? -A pupil raised his or her hand and eventually
leads the prayer.

- Oh! That's great.

2. Review of the Past Lesson

Before we discuss our new lesson, let us first review our


previous lesson.

- What was our lesson yesterday? -Noun.


- What is a noun? -Noun is a name of person, things, animals,

- Can you give some examples of nouns? -The pupils will give their examples of nouns.

B. Lesson Plan

1. Motivation

-Class I have here a song. It is about Good Grooming.


-Yes ma'am.
-Do you know the song “Are You Sleeping?”
-Ok, this song is in the tune of Are You Sleeping?

Let us sing the song.

Brushing our teeth (2x)


With toothbrush and toothpaste
We can have a clean teeth (2x) -Pupils will sing the song.

1. Each member will guess each set of the picture.

2. You need to write your answer on board alternately and


raise the board after writing the answer.
( Note: Wrong spelling is wrong)

3. The first team who will get the highest correct answers
will be the winner.

- To make sure that you really understand our lesson, we

ball will pick two objects in the box. Make sure that the
things that you will pick can form a compound word.

A. I have here a mini garden to make it more beautiful let


us put some flowers on it. Pick one flower, read first the
word on it and tell to the class the two words that are
being combined.
