Analyzing and Interpreting Data Gathered

DISCUSSION

In this section from the from the results gathered will be explicated and interpreted.
Research questions will be answered statistically on this section.

1.Research Question One (RQ1):Is it possible to use tea bag, vinegar, and cornstarch extracts
as an alternative ink?

a. Null Hypothesis (NH1):It is not possible to use tea bag, vinegar, and cornstarch extracts
as an alternative ink.
b. Alternative Hypothesis (NHO):It is possible to use tea bag, vinegar, and cornstarch
extracts as an alternative ink.

Analysis

Strongly Agree 40% 45%

Agree 35% 10%

Neither Agree or Disagree 25% 40%

Disagree 0% 5%

Strongly Disagree 0% 0%

Table 1 presents the computed percentage for the products squelch or drying time and
visibility of the ink. From the data gathered, it showed that 40% strongly agreed,35% agree and
25 % neither agree or disagree. The results implied that the drying time is fast.

In terms of visibility,45% of the respondents strongly agree,10% agree,40% neither agree

or disagree and 5% disagree to the visibility of the ink when applied to a paper.

2.Research Question Two (RQ2):Is teabags ink considered to be affordable and available for
users?

a. Null Hypothesis (NH1):Teabags ink is not considered to be affordable and available for
users.
b. Alternative Hypothesis (NHO):Teabags ink is considered to be affordable and available
for users.

Analysis

Criteria Affordability Availability

Strongly agree 50% 55%

Agree 30% 35%

Neither Agree or Disagree 20% 10%

Disagree 0% 0%

Strongly Disagree 0% 0%

The data gathered from 10 respondents comprising of 10 residents of

Pinagpala,Baco.Fron the data gathered, it showed that 50% of the respondents strongly agreed
that the teabags ink is an affordable product, 30% agreed into it and 20% neither agree or
disagree. Generally, teabags ink materials/ingredients were ingredients affordable since these are
cheap.

In terms of availability,55% of the respondents strongly agreed whereas 35% agreed into
that idea and 10% neither agree or disagree.Ideally, all the materials/ ingredients considered
available, as what the survey implied.

3.Research Question Three (RQ3):Is the extract from the teabags going to have a stronger
color and thicker consistency than the ordinary ink?

a. Null Hypothesis (NH1):The extract from the teabags is not going to have a stronger
color and thicker consistency than the ordinary ink
b. Alternative Hypothesis (NHO):The extract from the teabags going to have a stronger
color and thicker consistency than ordinary ink.

The data gathered from 10 residents of Pinagpala,Baco.Fron the data gathered, it showed
that 15% of the respondents strongly agreed that the teabags ink has the stronger color than
commercialized ink,55% agreed into it,20% neither agree or disagree and 10% disagree. The
results implied that the teabags ink has stronger color than the commercialized ink.

In terms of thicker consistency,20% of the respondents strongly agreed whereas 45%

Conclusions

Based on the findings the following conclusions are drawn.

1.It is possible to use tea bag, vinegar, and cornstarch extracts as an alternative ink as to the
squelch/drying time of ink and it’s visibility. The results implied that the respondents found out
that the teabags ink was effective as an alternative ink when it comes to the drying time/speed
and visibility the same with the commercialized ink.
2.Since the overall percentage for the teabags ink showed the product’s results, it can be
concluded from the questionnaires that the production of this ink from teabags were affordable
and available.

3.The extract from the alternative ink have stronger color and thicker consistency than the
commercialized ink. The results implied that the respondents found out and agreed that the
Teabags ink had the quality of a stronger color and thicker consistency while having ingredients
found in our houses.

Recommendations

From the conclusions drawn, the following recommendations are given.

1.Future researchers may use different kinds of tea for the experimentation of other colors.
2.Think if an alternative material to improve the product.
3.Future researchers are recommended to use this case study as a reference or source of
information for studies linked to the production of teabags ink as an alternative ink.
