Group 3 – scented sanitizer/alcohol.

(Essence Guard)

Production Process

The first process we did was making unscented alcohol.

Step 1

Get a 100ml graduated cylinder and measure 2.5% or 25ml of distilled

water, and then put it in a 250ml beaker glass or whatever container you
prefer.

Step 2

Take the graduated cylinder again and also take the perfume grade
alcohol, also called PGA Then put 90% or 900ml into the graduated
cylinder. After that, pour it into the beaker glass together with the distilled
water and stir it.

Step 3

Still using the graduated cylinder, put 2.5% or 25ml of dypropylene glycol or
DPG in it. Make sure the ingredients are always the right amount so they
don't overdo it and the smell gets stronger. After measuring the dipropylene
glycol or DPG, add it to a mixture of distilled water and perfume grade
alcohol and mix again.

Step 4

The last ingredient is the fixative. Just measure it again in the graduated
cylinder; it should be 5% or 50ml. Put it back in the glass beaker and
combine the mixtures. mix it well.

Step 5

Prepare bottles or containers that can hold the mixtures. And then add the
unscented alcohol and shake it to make sure it mixes well.
The second process we did was to make our own perfume that we
could mix with our unscented alcohol.

Step 1

Using a graduated cylinder, we measure 15ml or 1.5% of our own

fragrance oil. It is a mixture of melon and gumamela. After measuring, we
pour the fragrance oil into the glass beaker.

Step 2

We get the fixative and the glass stirrer. We put 12 drops of fixative and
pour it over the fragrance oil in the glass beaker. Then we stir it.

Step 3

For the third step, we add dypropylene glycol, or DPG, to our solution. We
use a graduated cylinder to measure 3ml, or 0.3% of DPG, and we pour it
into our fragrance oil and fixative. Then we stir it well again.

Step 4

For our fourth step, using a 100ml graduated cylinder, we measure 75ml or
75% ethyl alcohol and we add it to our solution and we stir it.

Step 5

We pour our solution into the graduated cylinder, and we add the
necessary amount of distilled water to our solution, and we pour it back into
the beaker glass, then stir it to make sure it is well mixed.

Step 6

After we mix the ingredients, we put them in the amber glass and seal it
well. This is called aging and chilling, where it will be stored for a few days.
This is done to protect the perfume from heat and light.

Step 7
It can now be placed in preferred containers or bottles, and it can also be
packaged.

Effects of the Product

Here are some of the benefits you can get from the ingredients in our
product:

Fragrance oil - can provide a long-lasting freshness and be used in perfumes

and deodorants. Since it is completely light and natural the fragranced
perfume oils can also be indirectly applied to the garment and clothing. Also
have the benefit of being skin-safe.

Fixatives - are a way to help make fragrances last longer.

Propylene Glycol - are good for skin hydration and to resolve your skin
dryness and dull appearance.

Ethyl alcohol - is effective in killing microorganisms like bacteria, fungi and

viruses.

Distilled water - Clearly, washing your face with distilled water is better than
washing it with tap water as it dissolves skin impurities from soap and foaming
residues unclogs pores, and makes your skin extra clean minus the
chemicals.

Melon or cantaloupe - contains Vitamins K and E which play a major role

in keeping your skin healthy and radiant. The high water content hydrates
your skin from within. Cantaloupe is also a good source of B vitamins, choline,

gentle on sensitive skin. This high mucilage content of Hibiscus enhances the
