B. Time frame: 1-hour discussion
C. References: General Mathematics in Grade 11
D. Instructional Materials: Visual aids, PowerPoint Presentation
E. Concepts:
a. The domain is the set of all real numbers
b. The range is the set (0, +∞)
c. It is a one-to-one function. It satisfies the Horizontal Line Test
d. The y- intercept is 1. There is no x- intercept
e. The horizontal asymptote is the line y=0 (or the x-axis). There is no vertical asymptote
F. Skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Observing, Analyzing, and Critical thinking,

Okay. Thank you.
To test if you really understand how
to graph an exponential function, I
will give an exponential function
and you are going to graph it on the
board given the table of values and
cartesian plane.

Terms for your own ease.

Kindly read it aloud and clearly. Unlocking difficulties:

Real Numbers
- all the points falling
along the number line in
the coordinate plane that
consist of rational and
irrational numbers.
Domain
- the set of x values for
which the function is
defined
Range
- the set of all values that
f(x) can take
Zeros of exponential
function
- x values that produce
the function value 0
Intercepts
- where the curve crosses
the x and y axis
Thank you. Asymptote
- a line that a graph
approaches
