FOOTBALL/FUTSAL
(Male/Female)
Ground Rules
A. Categories
Due to constraints in the availability of playing venue, the events shall be Futsal Male Category and Futsal
Female Categories.
B. Team Composition
1. Player Eligibility
- Must be a student of CRMNHS (i.e. enrolled in the current school-year) for Unit-based teams and must
be a graduate/completer of the school’s junior high school for the alumni team.
- Although conducted for the purpose of selecting players for higher meets, no age limit shall be imposed
on the premise that this event is for the inclusive participation and enjoyment of the students and
alumni.
- Only players whose name appear in the roster submitted at the beginning of the tournament shall be
allowed to participate.
2. Number of Players
- There shall be not more than 5 players including the goalkeeper with a maximum of 13 substitutes. (18
players in the roster)
- A team can play with at least 3 players, one of which shall be the goalkeeper.
C. Tournament Format
To maximize playing time and competition experience, the following format shall be adopted:
1. Games shall have 10 minutes of duration which shall be divided into two 5-minute halves with no
break in between halves. The tournament organizers reserve the right to modify the game duration
(sunlight available) after coaches of both teams agree to such.
2. Round-robin stage
- Each team shall play against all other teams.
- A team shall earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 point for a loss.
- A team winning due to non-appearance of the opposing team (win by default) shall earn 3
points and a goal.
- Teams will be ranked by the number of points earned.
- In case of a tie, the following statistics shall be used to break the tie and in the sequence
specified: Goal Difference (GF-GA), Accumulated Fouls (Least accumulated fouls win) and
Toss coin.
- Teams ranked 4 and 3 shall play for 3rd Place.
- Teams ranked 2 and 1 shall play the championship game.
3. Game for 3rd Place and Championship Game
- In case of a tie at the end of regulation time, a penalty shootout shall determine the winning
team.
- The winning team in the Game for 3rd Place shall earn 3rd place and the losing team will be 4th
placer.
- The winning team in the Game Championship Game shall be the 1st placer and the losing
team will be 2nd placer.
D. Miscellaneous
For matters not mentioned in these ground rules, the FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game shall apply.
