MY REFLECTION IN 1ST QUARTER

At this 1st quarter in this academic year 2021-2022. I’ve been handling the Grade 8

students in the subject TLE and being as an adviser in Grade 10 – Orion. This was a

challenging for me to face this since, It is my first time to be an adviser in the higher

level in Junior High School especially this time of pandemic that is quite difficult to

monitor them and to witnessed how and what student that they are. Of course, as a TLE

teacher, it is new for me to handle this subject because it needs the skills and being

creative teacher to on how my students will learn in a distance learning setup or

modular. Many students that I’ve witnessed at this quarter that they are eager to learn

and consistent to get and return modules because of the excitement of the beginning of

school year. Some are active in online because they are responsive to your updates

through the messenger.

MY REFLECTION IN 2nd QUARTER

The time has flies so fast that we are now in this 2 nd quarter of school year. As I can

see, some students are felt tired and I can identify which of the students is really

interested, consistent, getting tired and bored by answering the modules on their own.

Some of them they received a helped from their members of the family by answering

their modules and to finish the performance task. I’ve been calling an attention thru call,

text and even in messenger to those students that needs some help to push their

studies. I’ve been asking some of my students how are they in this modular setup, some

said that they prefer the face to face because they can enjoy while learning with the

classmates and teachers and it is different that there is teacher in front of them to teach

than doing self-study with the modules. It is really challenging especially that there are

more months in the SY. I’ve been visits students in their house to help with bringing

some activities to answer in some of their subjects and to confirm or have an agreement

and conditions whether they will continue the studies or not.

MY REFLECTION IN 3rd QUARTER

The quarter was done but there are some of students that is inconsistent on their

studies. Some of them that I visited was informed about their poor grades was

performing well. They tried to cope up and be responsive for the remaining quarter to

get passing grades. I’ve learned that as an educator, teaching is not enough to help

students in education. It needs a compassionate heart to teach especially on teaching

them to be dependent on their own for reaching their goals and molded them to develop

their skills to become a better person in our society.
