LITERACY
Media
Media are the communication
outlets or tools used to store
and deliver information or
data.
Literacy
Literacy in its broadest sense
describes "particular ways of
thinking about and doing reading
and writing" with the purpose of
understanding or expressing
thoughts or ideas in written form
in some specific context of use.
Information
A knowledge obtained from
investigation, study, or
instruction.
Information Literacy
Is the ability to find, evaluate,
organize, use, and communicate
information in all its various formats,
most notably in situations requiring
decision making, problem solving, or the
acquisition of knowledge.
Technology Literacy
Is the ability to use, manage, understand, and
assess technology. Technological literacy is
related to digital literacy in that when an
individual is proficient in using computers and
other digital devices to access the Internet,
digital literacy gives them the ability to use the
Internet to discover, review, evaluate, create, and
use information via various digital platforms, such
as web browsers, databases, online journals,
magazines, newspapers, blogs, and social media
sites.
