Subject: Integrated Science

Topic: Scientist and Skills

Duration of Unit: 1 Block

Specific Timeframe: August 24th, -September 4th, 2020

Goals: At the end of this week students will be able to:

a) Identify the skills that scientists use to carry out scientific investigation.
b) Use scientific skill in various scientific scenarios
c) Discuss the importance of experimental design and the role of variables
d) List the guidelines to follow when reporting an experiment
e) Successfully do a scientific report of a scientific investigation

Rationale: The main objective is to assist students in understand all the scientific skills every scientist uses in the field to carry out
investigation properly. They will learn and practice these skills using various scenarios which will be provided by lecture. Handouts,
posters, activities and practice work will also be provided to assist students to successfully grasp the objective.
