1. Can all fibres found in nature be converted into textiles? Explain with special reference to
the essential properties required for textile fibres.

2. Describe the various ways in which novelty effects can be created in yarns. How are
textured yarns different from novelty yarns?

6. A firm is creating yarns for a high-end pure cotton men's shirt fabric. Explain how are these
high-quality yarns made from fibres. Describe in detail any two routine finishes that can
be imparted on cotton fabrics.
