Objective & Well Data

1. Objective:
The objective of the job is to cement the 13-3/8” casing with Lead Slurry (12.5 ppg) and Tail Slurry (15.8 ppg). The
Tail Slurry will be 500 ft above Casing shoe and the Lead Slurry will be till surface.

2. Well Data:
Casing: 13-3/8’’Csg @ 5,283 ft MD / 4,176 ft TVD.

BHST: 143 °F

BHCT: 121 °F

Hole Size: 16 ’’ (60 % excess for Tail and 80% for Lead)

Mud Weight: 9.2 ppg (WBM)

Previous Casing: 18-5/8’’ @ 330 ft

TOP of the Cement (LEAD): 0 ft

TOP of the Cement (TAIL): 4,783 ft

Pre- Flush Volume: 50 bbl (KCL+Water)

Tail Slurry Volume/Rate: 90 bbl @ 15.8 ppg (100% excess)

Lead Slurry Volume/Rate: 491 bbl @ 12.5 ppg (35% excess in OH)

Displacement Volume/Rate: +/- 779 bbl @ 9.2 ppg

Procedure & Recommendations

TENTATIVE PROCEDURE FOR 13-3/8”CASING CEMENT JOB
1. Hold a Pre-Job Toolbox and safety meeting.

2. Pressure test surface lines to 3,000psi.

3. Pump 50 bbl of KCL Water as Pre-flush @ 6 bpm

.
4. Drop Bottom Plug.

5. Fly-Mix & Pump 491 bbl of Lead Cement Slurry 12.5 ppg @ 4-5bpm.

6. Fly-Mix & Pump 90 bbl of Tail Cement Slurry 15.8 ppg @ 5 bpm

7. Drop Top Plug and flush Cement lines by 10 bbls of water as displacement into the
casing.

8. Displace the Cement using Rig Pump with +/- 769 bbls @ 9 ppg of well fluid.

Rates Recommended:
700 bbl: 10-12 bpm
55 bbl: 6 bpm
14 bbl: 3 bpm

9. If the Plug Bumps then the Pressure up to 500 Psi above differential
(As per KOC Policy).

10. If the Plug doesn’t bump over displace with half volume of shoe track i.e 6 bbls.

11. If floats hold and no back flow observed, remove cement head and WOC.

12. If the floats don’t hold (or) Back flow observed, then close the valves on the cement head
and hold pressure until cement set.

13. WOC for 24Hrs.

RECOMMENDATION

 While Pumping or during displacement keep the pipe reciprocate or in rotation. It

might help to clean the mud properly.

 Mud conditioning is recommend before doing the cement job (mud YP =10 or
less).

 Do not displace more than 1/2 shoe track volume.

 Actual displacement volume must be calculated and agreed upon by the company
man and the NAPESCO supervisor prior to the job and based on actual well data
and casing tally.

 This program is tentative and subject to change as per actual well scenarios on
location.

 Do not mix till the company man confirms.

 Hand over to cement samples, mix fluid samples to company man.

 Check the salinity using chloride strips.

 Monitor the losses if any during cement job

 100 bbl @ 15.8 PPG equivalents (neat cement) has to carry out to the location
for top job ( More volumes has to carry out upon request)

 Frac density of around 14.5 ppg at TD has been assumed in the simulation.
