Findings

Corona Virus has left a profound impact and drastically changed our education maneuvers, it changed
not only the system of the schools but most especially the daily life of the students, because of the
changes faced by the students it affect not just their daily living but also their mind set about their
future specifically their studies.

Three major themes were identified: (1.) Studying experiences during pandemic; (2.) ; and (3.). The
detailed presentation of the themes and subthemes are displayed in Table 1.

1. Studying experiences during pandemic

In describing their studying experiences during pandemic, lots of challenges were stated by the students
participants. On the other hand, some also mentioned about the positive happenings or opportunities
offered by pandemic during their study.

1.A. Challenges

1.A.1. Proper Daily Routine/Unproductive

As seen in the responses of the students participants, it is evident that most of them had changed their
daily routine, their habits have changed drastically, mostly of them mentioned that they don’t eat and
sleep on time, they tend to wake up late and eat late unlike from the usual thing to do. Caused by the
changed in the daily routine of the students, some of them became unproductive, they don’t have the
usual urge in doing things that they used to do during pre-pandemic.

“During quarantine, everything was a mess and I was shocked and wasn’t able to do things as I usually
do” “Actually, my daily routine wasn’t a routine anymore it was a freestyle, it was not a daily things I do”

1.A.2. Miscommunication

Mostly of the participants stated that they have difficulty in communicating with their teachers and
peers, it is really far different during their face to face class because they can talk with their teachers and
classmates, also because of miscommunications or difficulty in communication arise misunderstanding
has been possible towards individual.

“Yes, there is always miscommunication, misunderstanding and sometimes they have different

perceptions what you want or how to express typed words, like they thought you’re not angry and they

were just fine during the conversation when in fact it’s the other way. So that kind of situation is

understandable because all us, my classmates have not met personally but as a year have passed we kinda

know how to approach each of us.”


1.A.3. Internet connectivity

The participants mentioned about internet connectivity, most of them experience difficulty on it,
because of that they can’t perform well in their online class, they can’t do their activities at the right
track and also they became not updated about the different announcements that their teacher is
relaying to them

“I think it was the challenge of not having a stable internet connection. Since I live in a place where there
is an absence of stable internet reception, I sometimes struggle with attending classes”

1.B. Opportunities

1.B.1. No Pressure

Most of the participants mentioned that because of the pandemic they tend to have ample time to do
their works, they usually given enough and ample time to do their work, and also they can access easily
with the different search engine if they need answers in the different questions that they have in my
which can help them solve their academic problems.

“I can search the internet, I can ask my classmates anytime if there’s something that I do not understand,
and I have more time to review my notes

1.B.2. Self awareness/ Self exploration


The students stated that because of the pandemic they are able to explore more about their selves, though
they are being isolated they still had the chance to tour their being in the different dimension of their life,
most especially they were able to do diffrenr learning style.

“I was able to know my self more, and be able to learn new skills that I was not able to do before”

1.B.3. Computer Literacy Skills enhancement

Because of the drastic change due to pandemic, from paper to pencil the primary tool being used in the
activities are the different gadgets, and consequently students are able to enhance their skills with the
different platform being used in the teaching and learning process.

“During the pandemic my computer literacy skills were enhanced”
