On the Release of Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott Pemberton


(September 08, 2020)

This is a call for justice for Jennifer Laude and the whole trans
community. We denounce the undue release of Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott
Pemberton, the convicted murderer of a Filipino transwoman Jennifer
Laude, who was given an absolute pardon by Pres. Duterte this
September 8, 2020. The undeserved pardon granted to Pemberton is is (1)
a serious blow to our justice system, (2) a slur to our country’s

sovereignty, and (3) a direct attack to the welfare and rights of the
transgender community. We promote equal protection and rights and we
stand to fight against human rights violations, discrimination and
violence.
YEARS OF
ENLIGHTENMENT Call for Academic Ease (April 29, 2021)

EXCELLENCE
This is a call for Academic Ease in consideration of the difficulties that
SOLIDARITY students, faculty members and other constituents of the university
experience in the time of Covid-19 Pandemic. We support the call of the
University Student Regent, the UPLB Student Council and other
organizations to have a genuine academic break and to urge the UPLB
administration to allow the students to submit requests for deferred and
incomplete grades and not just be dropped from classes, implore our
professors to be lenient with workloads and deadlines.

On Duterte’s Sixth and Last State of the nation Address (July


26, 2021

This is a statement to criticize the incompetency of the current


administration and the consequences of the President’s lack of
compassion and effective leadership for the last six years. We firmly
believe that knowing when to speak and rise up is central in fighting for
what is right and moral. More so if academic freedom, the essence of our
universitylives, is being threatened.

On the Postponent of Classes in UPLB (September 05, 2020)

This is a call to postpone the classes in consideration of the


inaccessibility of education for most of the students of the university.
Without comprehensive plans to combat the pandemic, the situation
would not be just a threat to the quality education that every student
deserves, but also to the quality of life promised by this administration.

Power Revolution (February 25, 2021)

YEARS OF This is a statement to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the EDSA


People Power Revolution. We have experienced the struggle of the
ENLIGHTENMENT Filipino people in this country and EDSA Revolution is one of the
evidence that we can do anything as long as we fight together, to fight
EXCELLENCE tyranny and injustice. We are powerful if we stand together. And that
includes our power to express our opinion, criticism and voice to demand
SOLIDARITY an effective administration that respects our rights and serve the people
instead of their selfish motives.

This is a statement to celebrate the Independence Day that reflects our


freedom and our identity. We believe that we are free to think, reflect and
criticize the flaws of the organization because we are entitled to our right
and freedom that our heroes fought for.

Sa Araw ng mga Kababaihan (March 08, 2021)

This is a statement to celebrate Women’s Day. We believe that women


deserve to be treated equally because women are never less than any
other gender when it comes to potential, skills, intellect and personality.
