Câu so sánh
I. So sánh hơn
1. So sánh hơn với tính từ ngắn( 1 âm tiết)
 Cấu trúc

S1 + to be + Tính từ + “er” + than + S2

- S1: người, con vật, đồ vật thứ nhất

- S2: người, con vật, đồ vật thứ hai
- tobe: is/am/are
- tính từ: các tính từ có 1 âm tiết và 1 số tính từ 2 âm tiết có tận cùng bằng -ow, -y, -le, -er và -et.
VD: narrow, happy, simple.
- than: “hơn”
Ví dụ:
Hieu is taller than Bon.
Bon is younger than Hieu.

a) Chuyển các tính từ sau sang so sánh hơn:
* Lưu ý: những từ kết thúc bằng “y” phải chuyển thành “i” rồi mới thêm “er”

2. So sánh hơn với tính từ dài: ( từ 2 âm tiết trở lên)
 Cấu trúc
- Nhiều hơn:
S1 + to be + more + tính từ + than + S2

- Ít hơn:
S1 + to be + less + tính từ + than + S2

Ví dụ:
- Adults are more mature than children.
- Elsa is less beautiful than Linda.
