1. Cấu trúc enough dạng khẳng định
 Đối với tính từ (Adj)
Cấu trúc: S + am/is/are + adj + enough + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– These oranges are ripe enough for us to eat. (Những quả táo này đủ chín để chúng
ta có thể ăn.)
– I am tall enough to play basketball. (Tôi đủ cao để chơi bóng rổ.)
 Đối với trạng từ (Adv)
Cấu trúc: S + V + adv + enough + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– She explained it clearly enough for me to understand. (Cô ấy giải thích đủ rõ ràng
để tôi có thể hiểu được.)

– She drove slowly enough that I could keep up with her. (Cô ấy lái xe đủ chậm để tôi
có thể đuổi kịp.)
2. Cấu trúc enough dạng phủ định
Ở thể phủ định của cấu trúc enough, bạn hãy thêm “not” vào sau động từ To Be, hoặc
thêm trợ động từ phủ định vào trước động từ thường. Tuy nhiên, cần phù hợp với chủ
ngữ và thì của câu. 
 Đối với tinh từ (Adj)
Cấu trúc: S + am/is/are + not + adj + enough + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– He’s not tall enough to be a model. (Anh ấy không đủ cao để trở thành người mẫu.)
– She is not trustworthy enough for me to tell her all my secrets. (Cô ấy không đủ tin
cậy để tôi có thể kể hết những bí mật của mình.)
 Đối với trạng từ (Adv)
Cấu trúc: S + don’t/doesn’t/didn’t +V + adv + enough + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– I didn’t get up early enough to see the sunrise. (Tôi dậy không đủ sớm để có thể
ngắm bình minh.)

– He didn’t speak slowly enough for me to listen. (Anh ấy nói không đủ chậm để tôi

có thể nghe được.)
3. Cấu trúc enough với danh từ
Nếu “enough” kết hợp với danh từ thì –> “enough” đứng trước danh từ.
 Đối với danh từ (noun) thể khẳng định
Cấu trúc: S + V + enough + Noun + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– I have enough time to do my homework. (Tôi có đủ thời gian để làm bài tập về
nhà.)

– This car doesn’t have enough seats for 10 people. (Chiếc xe này không đủ chỗ cho
10 người.)
 Đối với danh từ (noun) thể phủ định
Cấu trúc: S + Trợ động từ + Not + V + Enough + Noun + (for sb) + to V
Ví dụ:
– She doesn’t have enough money to buy a car. (Cô ấy không đủ tiền để mua ô tô.)

– My house does not have enough room for you to stay overnight. (Nhà của tôi
không đủ phòng để bạn có thể tá túc qua đêm.)
 Đối với danh từ (noun) thể nghi vấn
 Cấu trúc: Trợ động từ + S + V + Enough + Noun + (for sb) + to V?
Ví dụ:
– Will they have enough evidence to prove John is a thief?  (Liệu họ có đủ bằng
chứng để chứng minh John là trộm không?)

– Will he be sincere enough to convince his wife? (Liệu anh ấy có đủ chân thành để

thuyết phục vợ mình không?)

= I have enough a lot of candy to share with the kids.

→ Tôi có đủ kẹo để chia cho bọn trẻ.

Quy tắc 2: Lược bỏ “for sb” phía sau cấu trúc enough nếu chủ ngữ 2 vế câu giống
nhau
Ví dụ:
 Hoa is very intelligent. She could become a genius. 

= Hoa is intelligent enough to become a genius.

→ Hoa có đủ sự thông minh để trở thành một thiên tài.

 He is short. He can’t take that book off the shelf.

= He isn’t tall enough to take that book on the shelf.

→ Anh ấy không đủ cao để lấy cuốn sách trên kệ.

Quy tắc 3: Lược bỏ tân ngữ câu thứ 2 nếu chủ ngữ của câu thứ nhất và tân ngữ
của câu thứ hai cùng nói đến một đối tượng.
Ví dụ:
 This shirt is too expensive. I can’t buy it.

= This shirt isn’t cheap enough for me to buy.

→ Chiếc áo này không đủ rẻ để tôi có thể mua.

 This dress is too tight. I can’t wear it.

= This dress is not big enough for me to wear it.

→ Chiếc váy này không đủ rộng để tôi mặc vừ
