ACTIVITY 1: ALL ABOUT TABLES AND CHARTS

Objective: Interpret data shown by the chart or graph.

Material: This worksheet

Directions: Read each statement or question carefully. Encircle the letter that

ACTIVITY 2: LIST AND PIVOT TABLE MAKING

Objective: Demonstrate creating and managing data lists, Pivot Tables, and charts
in Excel

Material: This worksheet, PC or Smartphone with MS Excel Program

Directions: Follow the given steps below.

1.) Survey on the details of all of your classmates as listed below:

2.) Now, click the Format as Table button in the Styles group under the Home Tab.
Choose a table style.

3.) Excel puts a marquee around your data and shows you a dialog box that gives the
address for the cell range in the marquee. You can edit this if you need to. Click OK.

4.) Excel creates your new data list for you.

5.) Sort the last names alphabetically from “ A to Z”.

6.) Customize your table according to your preferences.

7.) Highlight your table. Go to Home → Format as table → New Pivot table style. This
dialogue box will appear.

8.) Choose ‘Whole Table” and click OK. This icon will show on your worksheet:

9.) Click on the icon and choose ‘Duplicate Values”.

10.) Save your work with the file name SURNAME_WK6 and turn in your work in Google
Classroom or as instructed by your teacher.

Remember

MS Excel can’t only be used for automated mathematical calculations involving the
four basic operations. You can also use Excel to create a list like a datable in order for your
to arrange your data in a way that will be more effective for you.
Creating lists and table in MS Excel can be done using data you have on hand. When
creating lists and tables, make sure you have accurate and complete data in order not to be
confused in the process.
