The "Brake" ECM monitors the drive wheels through three input signals. The "Brake" ECM monitors one signal from each drive axle and the signal
from the transmission output shaft. The "Brake" ECM sends a signal to the service brakes "ARC/TCS" valves when the spinning of a drive wheel is
-
detected. "TCS" applies the brakes to the spinning wheel until the ratio between the right axle and the left axle speeds return to a 1:1 ratio. When

the traction has been recovered, the "TCS" will release the brake.
2
The "TCS" monitors the state of the machine, and determines when the brakes should be engaged on the spinning wheel. The following conditions
will prevent the "TCS" from engaging:
08: / 0 F 1 F
4 /2 B
The "TCS" will remain inactive if the service brakes are engaged. This feature is intended to keep the "TCS" from engaging during retarder

engagement (going down a hill), when "TCS" activation might interfere with "ARC" operation.

The "TCS" will remain inactive if the machine speed is above 19.3 km/h (12.0 mph). This feature is intended to keep the "TCS" from engaging

Cat 2 C
mode allows the operator to monitor the "TCS" solenoid currents as the solenoids cycle back and forth. While operating in the test mode, the "TCS"

"TCS" test switch on the dash is depressed.

Machine is stationary. (Transmission output speed is zero. Ground speed is zero. Both wheel speeds are zero).
