1st Homeroom PTA Minutes of the Meeting

The first Homeroom PTA Meeting for SY. 2022-2023 was held last August 26, 2022 at
JAICA Building Room CB-002. There were 29 parents who attended the meeting. The
attendees observed proper health protocols by wearing facemask and social distances.
The meeting was properly commenced at 8:30 am and started with a prayer led by a
parent- Ma’am Yolanda Pedro.
Furthermore, the teacher showed warmed welcomed to the parents who attended the
meeting.
Referring to the first agendum, the teacher tackled about the rules and regulations of
the schools wherein students need to follow. She highlighted about the proper haircut
of the students, the bullying inside the campus and the consequences the students can
get whenever they will commit offences. This is to give idea to the parents in helping
teachers mold their children’s behavior. The grading system also was being discussed
to the parents.
The next agendum was the schedule of the class, wherein the teacher showed the
class program to the parents about the schedule of their children. Some of the parents
commented about the very earliest schedule wherein their children hard to wake up
early, the difficulties of transportation from home going to school especially for those
who are living in far-flung area. The adviser explained that the schedule is already fix,
and they must understand the schedule due to lack of classroom that is why the
schedule of classes is shifting. As agreed by the body, the parents told the adviser to
follow the schedule and help their child to give extra worksheets to answer whenever
they are late to cope the unattended lesson.
Sir Arvin Bitay- the Math teacher also explained that the parents will understand the
schedule and help the teachers to follow up students at home. It was also emphasized
by the teachers that the absences of the students will affect the performance of the
students. It was clarified that 3 lates equivalent to 1 absent and that also reflect their
4P’s attendances. in addition, the parents were also informed about the reading
assessment and intervention to their children. That, anytime they will called to have a
reading intervention, the teacher will text or send a letter to them so student will not
used this intervention as their alibi in escaping from home.
During the elections of officers, the adviser opened the table for the nomination of
HRPTA President. Mr. Ahmad Diman was being nominated and became president as
being unanimously chosen. He then presided the meeting and complete the election of
Homeroom Officers with the help also of Vice President- Yolanda Pedro.
After the elections of officers, the adviser presented the HRPTA projects. She
proposed to have a cleaning materials like walis tambo, Dust pan, Balde and tabo and
etc. The parents agreed the proposal project, after so, the amount of 50 pesos per
students was the contribution for the project.
With what was being shown by the parents, there is indeed gladness in the heart of the
adviser knowing that the parents are very supportive and willing to help the school. The
meeting ended successfully in God’s grace and guidance .

The meeting started with a prayer by the adviser whom right after presided and started the meeting at exactly
11:00 am in the morning.
Furthermore, there were only 19 parents who were elected as HRPTA Officers in different sections attended
the meeting. The elections of Officers were done first.
During the meeting, the matter about student’s concern particularly the water to be used in cleaning the CR
was brought to attention. It was highlighted that the students had experienced hard times in cleaning the CR
due to insufficient water supply. So, the adviser opened to the parents to have a water booster so that we can
stock water from deep well. The parents agreed to have it for the benefits of their children. A contribution of
100 pesos will be collected among officers to buy a water booster/pump. Some of the parents contributed 500
pesos showing their support in the project. With that, it is very clear to see that parents are more inspired and
willing to help with the teachers and the school itself.
As all other pertinent concerns were dealt with for the time being, the meeting adjourned at exactly 11:45 am in
the morning with the same number of attendees.
