Prokaryotes vs Eukaryotes: What Are the Key Differences?

 Define Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells.
Prokaryotic cells don’t have a nucleus or membrane enclosed organelles, they do have genetic
material but it’s not contained within a nucleus. Prokaryotic cells are always one celled or
unicellular organisms such as bacteria.
Eukaryotic cells have organelles which include the nucleus and other special parts. It is more
advanced and complex cells such as those found in plants and animals.

 Describe the key differences between Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes.

Prokaryotes are organisms made up of cells that lack a cell nucleus or any membrane-encased
organelles while eukaryotes are organisms made up of cells that possess a membrane-bound
nucleus that holds genetic material as well as membrane-bound organelles.

 Draw an animal cell, draw its components using different colors, and describe their
function.
