NARRATIVE REPORT ON BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022

I. Introduction
DepEd Order No. 014, s. 2020 otherwise known as Guidelines on the Required Health Standards in Basic
Education Offices and Schools adopted the guidelines promulgated by the Department of Health (DOH), Inter-
Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and directives by the President, the DepEd order
covers DepEd Central Office (COs), Regional offices (ROs), School Division Offices (SDOs), and all basic
education schools and community learning centers (CLSCs), public or private. These guidelines stress the need to
impose health measures in order to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 in school and offices and to ensure the safe
return to school and offices.

II. Objective
This activity aims to achieve the following objectives:
 Prepare classrooms and school facilities for the safe education of the learners.
 Build a conducive classroom atmosphere.

III. Policies, Plans and Programs


This allows a partnership with other stakeholders who are willing to share resources to improve public school
education, and at the same time making the school safe from the spread of the virus. Through this initiative, the
importance of health of the learners, the parents and the teachers are being prioritized through various initiated
programs and activities that could foster safe learning environment.

IV. Accomplishment
The bullets below highlight the activities done for classroom management and improvement as part of the Brigada
Eskwela 2022.

 Used my own resources for classroom improvement such as repainting of walls, building some cabinet and
dividers, and placing customized wall frames and bulletin board frames.
 Decluttered the things in my classroom. I rearranged some materials and cleaned the classroom from
different forms of dirt such as cobwebs and dusts.
 Asked for the donation of the parents for the classroom handwashing facility.
 Facilitated the enrolment of the students.
 Prepared instructional materials and modules for the start of classes.

V. Best Practices
 The teacher was able to transform the classroom to make it more conducive for the learners.

IV. Issues and Concern


 No donor donated an amount for the classroom improvement.

 The teacher used his own resources in transforming the classroom

NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE BRIGADA ESKWELA ACTIVITIES
I. Introduction
Brigada Eskwela or School Brigade is a nationwide voluntary effort which aims to address resource gaps
faced by the Department of Education through strengthening partnerships with the local communities. The
program mobilizes and brings together the parents, alumni, civic groups, local businesses, non-government
organizations, teachers, students, and individuals who volunteer their time and skills to do classroom repairs,
maintenance work, and clean-up of public elementary and secondary schools. Aside from that, it is also an
effort to solicit any amount or materials from different stakeholders, organization, and government agencies to
improve school facilities and other areas of the school.

II. Objective
This activity aims to achieve the following objectives:
 Prepare classrooms and school facilities for the safe education of the learners.
 Build a conducive classroom atmosphere.

III. Policies, Plans and Programs


This allows a partnership with other stakeholders who are willing to share resources to improve public
school education. Through this initiative, the importance of the community is recognized in making schools the
best place for learners to acquire the values and competencies needed to contribute to nation-building.

IV. Accomplishment
The table below shows the activities done on certain dates for the school preparation in line with the
Brigada Eskwela 2022.

Dates Accomplishment
August 1, 2022 I started to declutter the things in my classroom. I started to rearrange some
August 2, 2022 materials and clean the classroom from different forms of dirt such as cobwebs and
dusts.
August 3, 2022 I asked a painter to paint my classroom. As the adviser, I made sure that I was
August 4, 2022 hands-on in supervising the painting of the classroom to assure that my desired
color was achieved.
August 5, 2022 I asked again the help of a carpenter to build bookshelves that can be used to
August 9, 2022 arrange the books that are inside my classroom. I also made sure that I was
August 12, 2022 present in supervising the activity. Aside from that, I painted the module divider and
the bookshelves that were already created.
August 15, 2022 I asked some people to install the wall frames and the bulletin board frames to
make my classroom displays neater.
August 16, 2022 I rearranged and planted some of the plants outside the classroom. I made sure
that the classroom is clean to make it ready for the opening of classes.
August 17, 2022 I made sure that I prepared the instructional materials and modules so that these
August 18, 2022 will be used in my classes.

 No person who donated an amount for the classroom improvement.
