Reading Time
Read the Creation Story below to find out if you got the answers correctly. You
may watch a short video about the Story of Creation using this link:
https://bit.ly/CREATIONSTORY.

On the first day, God said, “Let there be light.” And within some
seconds, there was light. He called the light, day and dark, night. On the
second day, God made the sky. The very next day, God wanted land, so He
said, “Let there be land.” God then called the land Earth and the water, sea.
With the light, the sky, the land, and the ocean, the Earth looked do beautiful.

So, on the third day, he created the plants and the trees. On the fourth
day, God created the sun to shine in the day, the moon and the stars at
night. On the fifth day, God filled the ocean with sea creatures. On the sixth
day, God created animals on the land and took some sand on the ground
and created His biggest creation of all — man. He made man to take care
of all His other creations.

Being a steward of God’s creation, write a short pledge or

promise below on how you can help in taking care of God’s creations.
This is also in support of St. Francis’ Laudato si (Praise Be to You!) which
aims for the care of our common home.

God created everything of all kinds. He made such wonder, and

we are responsible in taking care of them. Speaking of kinds, did
you know that sentences also have different kinds? Yes, we use
different kinds of sentences in our everyday lives. Meet Ann and
Josh. Together, we will help you in knowing two of the four kinds of
sentences. A have a good feeling of you making it!

Hi, I’m Ann. What a beautiful day it is! is

surely an interesting topic. I’m already using different kinds of
sentences right now. Have you noticed that? Listen to what
Josh has to say.

Ann is right. She just used the four kinds of sentences. Now
that you are in Grade 1, I will introduce two of them to
you. I have prepared two of the sentences used by Ann
a while back. Read them aloud.

Kinds of sentences is surely an interesting topic.

Have you noticed that?

Check the statements that apply to you.

I know what a telling sentence is.

I know what an asking sentence is.

I do not know yet what a telling sentence or an asking sentence is all about.

Do you have a specific question you want to ask? Write it down

below. I hope it will be answered as you go along this module.
If not, reserve it for now and feel free to ask your question during
our synchronous online meeting.
