A. Discussion

Adjective is a word that describe or clarifies a noun or a pronoun. It gives us


information about people, things, and ideas.

Let us try to describe a pot using adjectives in many ways.


Opinion It is a great pot.
Size It is a big pot.
Shape It is a round pot.
Age It is an old pot.
Color It is a black pot.
Temperature It is a cold pot.
Observation It is a broken pot.
Origin It is a Dumagat pot.
Material It is a mud pot.
Purpose It is a cooking pot.

Adjectives can be found at the beginning of a noun or after a noun. But if we


have multiple adjectives, we must follow an order and make the adjectives in
series.
1. Number – Two, first, many, few
2. Opinion – beautiful, great, delicious
3. Size – small, huge, tall
4. Physical quality – thin, untidy, rough
5. Age – new, old, young, 20-year-old
6. Shape – Round, square, triangular
7. Color – red, green, blue
8. Origin – Mexican, American, Philippine/Filipino
9. Material – gold, wooden, glass
10. Purpose – Sport, coffee
