THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction

The Covid19 has threatened the activity of


high Schools and Colleges

Which is why the issue of whether or not to continue


teaching and learning has

Been raised, provided that the health of students and of


education staff is
Protected. Education institutions preferred to close
traditional ( face to face )

teaching activities, including laboratories, and transferred


teaching activities

to the online environment in order to prevent the spread of


the virus. Forcibly

moving educational activity to the online environment allows


for flexibility in

teaching and learning because courses are easily accessed.

Covid 19 pandemic is having a profound impact not only on
people’s

Health but also on how they learn, Work and live, Learning
in the new normal

is a challenging for the teachers, students and even


parents.

During the Coronavirus Crisis have been using


digital Pedagogical tools

and Virtual exchanges between students and their teachers.


Blended learning

is a combination of both online and offline learning with


the use of technology

online learning when students study with their teacher and


classmates

Through an online application that use. Teachers provides


the students with

the lesson, assessment, seatwork, online reports so that


they can finish within

the passing or our deadline. All tasks or work are summited


and graded via- online.
Statement of the Problem
This study titled “The Impact of COVID-19 on the Learning of
BEEd Third Year Students of Concepcion Holy Cross College”
aimed to determine the impact of online learning among
students.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions:

1. What changes have occurred in students' learning as a


result of the pandemic?

2. What learning opportunities exist in the midst of a


pandemic?

3. What are the learning challenges that students face


during the pandemic.

The following assumptions guided the conduct of the study to


reach the conclusions:
1. The students positively adopt the changes
2. Students think that the Pandemic lessen the quality of
education
3. During the pandemic, there are opportunities for students
to learn in a convenient and flexible manner.
3. Technology plays a positive role in learning.
4.During the Pandemic, students face challenges such as a
lack of learning resources such as Wi-Fi connection, phones
and laptops, and their responsibilities at home such as
household chores.
Scope and Delimitation of the study
This is study focus on the learning of BEEd third year
students of Concepcion Holy Cross College. The researchers
start gathering information on month of February and it ends
on month of May. It is involved a survey for those who
affected by the Covid-19 in their learning, this research is
designed to have a deep knowledge on what the impact of
Covid-19 in the learning of every students.

The Significance of the Study


This research papertitled, “The Impact of COVID-19 on the
Learning of BEEd Third Year Students of Concepcion Holy Cross
College” will be beneficial to the following persons:

To the Student- The research will make people aware of other


people's experiences and perspectives on the Impact of COVID 19
Learning.

The Parents- They'll be able to see what their children's


experiences are like.

The Teachers- They will be able to make the necessary changes or


implement them in order to make the teaching-learning process
more effective.

Researchers- They will be able to obtain relevant data and


information for their research that is linked to the issue and
can be utilized as a foundation for other studies.
Future Researchers- Consequently, they will be able to obtain the
necessary data, which will be used as a reference for future
scholars undertaking research on the subject.

Operational Definition of Terms

BEEd - This the course taken by the respondents (Bachelor in


elementary education)
CHCC – refer to a place where the researcher conduct a study
Covid-19 – refers to a virus which caused the pandemic that
forced the educational department to widely introduced
online distance learning.
Students – pertains to the persons enrolled in a learning
institution, in this case the college students who
experienced face-to-face learning prior to the introduction
of online distance learning.
Teachers - are referred to as instructors that deliver
online distance learning to students.
