 Introduction Or Background

Nowadays, online games are very popular with children and

teenagers, especially boys. Online games are games that are played through

computers, cellphones or laptops. The game is called an online game

because it uses internet access.

Online games actually have a positive impact, namely as

entertainment and sharpening skills. Unfortunately online games also have a

negative impact on today's teenagers. This is because many teenagers play

online games excessively to become addicted. They forget to study and sleep

until late at night.

Instead, we can be wiser towards online games. We must be able to manage


the time well so that online games do not have a negative impact on us.

 Main Body Of Report
Most people think that online games will have a negative impact on
the players. However, there are also those who think that playing online
games will have a positive impact. The following are some of the positive
impacts of online games for students.
First, online games are an activity for refreshing. Children who have
just come home from school can relieve boredom after hours of thinking
about lessons, by playing online games. They can release fatigue while
playing online games, which they like.
Second, playing online games can increase the creativity of the child.
They will imagine about new things they encounter when playing games.
Children can get interesting ideas from games to complete the threes from
their teachers at school. So, they can create something amazing from their
creative ideas after playing online games.
Third, this type of game can train children's concentration, especially
students. Because, when playing online games they have to concentrate on
the game they are playing, so they don't lose.
Fourth, online games also train children to set strategies. They will
set a strategy in order to win and get the most scores, and avoid things that
can make him lose in the game.
Fifth, when playing online games, children will practice being patient
and not giving up. Because, there are several types of games that can
provoke the child's emotions. And that's when the child is tested to be able
to control his emotions, in order to win the game.

 Conclusion And Recommendation


From the various statements above, it can be concluded that
online games have both positive and negative impacts. It depends on
the player. Therefore, parents are advised to do things that can
prevent the negative impact of the internet. For example, working with
teachers to help monitor their children's progress at school.

Online games are divided into two types, namely web and online
games based games and text based games. Web based games are
applications that are placed on servers on the internet where players only
need to use internet access and a browser to access these games. So no
need install or patch to play the game. However Along with development,
there are several features that need to download to play some games, like
Java Player, Flash Player, or Shockwave Player, which usually required for
the game's graphic display. Besides, games like this don't demand
specifications either sophisticated computer, no lag and need great
bandwidth. In addition, most of the web based games are free.
