Appendix B
Solid Figures - are 3- dimensional figures that have length, width, and height.
They are identified as to the number & shape of faces, edges
& vertices.
1. Cube - A special case of rectangular prisms. Cubes are solid figures that have
six faces that are all squares of the same size
2. Cone - A solid figure that has a circular face on one end, called the base, and

a point at the other end where the sides meet
3. Prism - A solid figure which has 2 bases congruent to each other which can be
a triangle, square or a rectangle
4. Pyramid - A solid figure that has a polygon as its base on one end and
triangular faces all meeting at a single point on the other end.
5. Sphere - A solid figure that is round and has the shape of a ball. It has no
faces, no edges, & no vertices.
6. Cylinder - A solid figure bounded by a circle and two parallel planes cutting all
its elements.
Appendix C
Direction: Study pictures. Identify the solid figure it represents , then complete the
chart by encoding the needed information which describes the figures.
