In music, we use signs and symbols. Notes and rests are musical symbols. They are written on the staff. A
note is a symbol for sound, while a rest is a symbol for silence.

A note has the following parts:

A song is composed with the use of the different notes and rests. These musical symbols give long and
shorts sounds that make composition beautiful.

The NOTE is used to indicate sound in music and the REST represents silence. Each note has a
corresponding rest and a number of beats.
