Kaveh Methanol (Dayyer/ Iran) Sep 2018 - Present

Responsibilities
· Controlled and oversaw the safe operation of the production process in the synthesis
section.
· Performed system start-ups and shut downs when needed for plant overhaul.
· Consisting of pressurisation of synthesis gas as driving from compressor section using
the DCS system.
· Monitoring the daily gas sample results to adjust the specifications of used gas to plan
and achieve the maximum production (Methanol) in distillation section.
· Integrated the CCR and field site to ensure running of the plant with no accidents.
· Controlled the plant as safely as possible with minimal waste while shut-downs or trips
occurred.
· Issued permits to work and confined space permits for instrumentals, mechanics and
power.
· Undertook isolations of machinery, undertake testing and follow various procedures.

Achievements
· Came up with a new idea that improved things like installing a check valve in the
compressor loop to avoid damage to impellers of compressor second stage.

Responsibilities
· Handled and coordinated pre-commissioning tasks such as chemical washing, air
blowing, steam out and rupturing.
· Ensured all pre-commissioning measures were completed, lines and instruments were
cleaned and finalized, ready to enter the first-time running phase in order to ensure a
smooth process.
· Supervised the finalisation of erection phase of the field according to procedures.
· Responsible for preparing ITP forms and punching of synthesis section and signing final
situation lines and instruments according to diagrams.

Achievements
· Selected from 120 candidates who were selected from 4000+ initial applicants entrance
exam.
· Worked as a Site Operator, learning different machines, devices, instruments, the
process, unit PFDs and P&IDs and became familiar with the petrochemical industry in the
first stage. This period lasted for 27 months, then I received a promotion due to my work
ethic and high level of performance, then worked as a DCS Operator in the control room.
· Successfully finished all pre-commissioning steps including cleaning, chemical washing,
steam cleaning, water flushing, rupturing, etc. and making the unit prepared for the first-
time start-up.
· Cooperated with a group of co-workers to complete the tasks to a high standard.
· Adapted to shift-work and learned to control my physical state while changing from day to
night.
· Gained a high level of expertise operating industrial machines such as pumps,
compressors, turbines, drums, towers, tanks, control instruments, all kind of valves and
heat exchangers.
