NCR Description :
During the regular inspections of Podium roofing works, the Engineer observed unacceptable alterations on gutter
secondary steel members.
The following photos are clearly showing that there several kind of alterations and adjustments of secondary steel
members on Site, including Welding, unapproved connection details, etc have been applied.
Cutting and welding elements on Site is jeopardizing the strength and the quality of works (welding in this case).
Corrosion protection is also questionable.
Having in mind that such alterations are not acceptable, the Contractor is requested to replace all modified and
adjusted members on Site with new ones, in order to meet the approved structural calculations. Modified and
adjusted members are not acceptable for installation.
The Contractor and his Subcontractor are instructed to fully implement the Engineer’s requirements and meet all
necessary quality and structural standards on Site.
