C. Read and answer the following questions. Write your answer on the space provided. (5pts. each)
1. You heard some people chattering about the vaccines for the new variant of disease. The worst is that the
information given by the WHO is different from the perception of the reporter that made a cause of spreading
fake news. As a citizen living in this world, what is your standpoint about the spreading of health “FAKE
NEWS” to the people?
- Political maneuvering. Politics is the realm of people who will use anything whatsoever to
advance their agendas and distorting the truths, outright lying are common tactics. For me, it is
difficult to give conviction and reliance when it comes to our health especially in this pandemic.
As a citizen, I feel the urge to be responsible for what is going on; my standpoint about this issue
is that it is important for the society to be educated about the vaccine for their reassurance as well
as the right for them to know what’s the vaccine. I think it is a good example of how naive most
of us are.
2. Massie is a survivor cancer patient. She is a believer of the doctor’s prescription and advices to her. Four
months after what happen to her, she accidentally fall down on the floor and feels so weak in all parts of her
body. The doctor said that the cancer is active again and it is now stage 4 cancer and she only have two weeks
to live. Massie didn’t give up and went for a second opinion. A friend of her recommend Massie a herbal
medicine that is effective and can relieve back your energy. If you are in Massie’s position, what is your
opinion of herbal medicine and its effectivity? Why?
- For me, I have high respect for the doctors since they studied for years to be able to cure patients.
I am used to herbal medicine and it is effective. Herbal medicine can treat a wide variety of
minor and major medical conditions. If I were in Massie’s position, my opinion would be open
for all because I have no else to believe in. Massie is a cancer survivor, most of the medicines in
that situation are herbal.
