SETTINGS
The setting of the story is on the Planet Venus where the
sun shows after seven (7) years. The weather is rainy and
cloudy. They are in the classroom wherein they are
discussing the sun.
The story of "All summer in a day" is talk about the sun
INTERPRETATION that shows up after 7 years on Venus. And for me, it
shows there the reality and somehow I reflect on it
because when I was in Elementary I was bullied
mentally and physically. In the story, we see the conflict
here- the human vs. society. Margot vs. the children who
did not believe her on what she says about the sun, We
see there the insecurities and how the diversity of one
another butt in. They didn't accept the fact that she came
to the planer that always shows the sun., so they bullied
her until they push them into the closet and locked
them. The story is about being not accepted the
differences of each other.
