2022 Graduation Guide  The Commencement Program officially starts with
the processional. Faculty, Academic Officers,
Our 2nd Unified University Commencement
Exercises 2022 will commence on August
5,2022 at Balai Mindoro ,Sta Isabel ,Calapan
City.
Graduates with parents who are assigned in Set A(8:AM to
12 :Noon) must come to the venue(Balai Mindoro,Sta
Isabel ,Calapan City) as early as 7:AM for proper checking of
vaccination card ,gate pass and pictorial at the photo
booth .Same thing will be followed by graduates in Set B-
1:00PM to 5:00PM where the assembly time is 12:00 Noon.
You have to come with hood, cap and gown and see to it that
you took your breakfast already.
Late comers will only be accommodated at the lobby. So be
early. We will start checking your attendance in the earliest
possible time before 7AM.
Nobody is allowed without vaccination card or any equivalent
medical permit RT-PCR or rapid antigen test 24 hours prior to
the event.
Be alert and always listen to any instructions by the usherettes
and marshals.
Once we join the recessional, graduates must leave the venue
and no need to return for any photo opportunities.

Academic Costume
 Formal graduation gown should be worn during
the commencement exercises to preserve the
solemnity and dignity of the occasion when it is
worn.
 Participants are advised to wear low-heeled shoes
for ease in walking.
Assembly
 Upon arrival, graduates and parents whose
children have Latin Honors register at the
designated places. Parents will be ushered to their
seats.
Program
Seating
 Before the processional, graduates shall be seated
at the row of their respective Colleges. Seats will
have labels—please follow the arrangement
accordingly.
Processional
Keynote Speaker, Members of the Board of
Regents and other dignitaries, the Vice President
for Academic Affairs and the University President
will join the processional.
Recognition
 The Dean of each college shall call the names of
graduates in alphabetical order, by which each
graduate must proceed to Center Stage to receive
their Diploma from the University President and
Vice President for Academic Affairs.
 Graduates must remain standing until the last of
them returns to his/her seat. The usherettes
signal them to sit.
Selected Honor Graduates to Deliver Speeches
 Announcement of the selection process for all
honor graduates should be made no later than the
last week of July 2022.
 Selected graduates with Latin Honors must
prepare a five-minute commencement speech in
English, based on a theme. The speech ideally
explores the theme by combining universal ideas
and personal experience.
Important Reminders
 Graduates are not allowed to bring bottled water
and light snacks inside the graduation venue. They
are only allowed to eat before the ceremony
starts and when the program ends.
 Graduates cannot leave their seats at designated
areas during the program to minimize safety
concerns.
 First aid concerns are monitored, and must be
reported to the Marshals, or any members of the
Medical Team.
 All security concerns must be reported to the
nearest Marshal/Appointed Usher/Security
Officer. Security concerns before, during, and
immediately after the event will be responded
promptly by the Committee on Security/Marshals.
IATF Guidelines for Graduation
The Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force
(IATF) allow face-to-face gatherings (including graduation
rites) in Areas under Alert level 1 and 2, upon the advise of
the Local Government Units and after obtaining consent
from the parents. However, as the threat of COVID-19 is
still very much present in our community, the IATF
requires the observance of strict guidelines during the
ceremony itself.

Following current IATF Protocol, these measures must be

observed at all times:

a. Face masks must be worn throughout the entire

event,
b. At least one-meter safe distance must be
observed between individuals,
c. Participants must be seated at their assigned seats
only,
d. Handshake or any other forms of physical contact
is discouraged, and
e. Only one parent or designated guardian shall be
permitted to accompany a candidate for
graduation.
