TEACHER: MARIBETH O. TAN, T-III DATE SUBMITTED: April 01, 2022

RATER: EVANGELINE S. CUADRA, MT-I SUBJECT & GRADE LEVEL: MATH GRADE 9

DIRECTIONS: Reflect on your attainment of the RPMS objective by answering the questions/prompts provided. Use any local or
official language that you are comfortable with. Use extra sheets if needed. Please limit your response to 500 words.

COT Indicator 8
OBJECTIVE 9: Designed, adapted and implemented teaching strategies that are responsive to learners with
disabilities, giftedness and talents

PROMPT #1
Context: Clara is often seen restless or unfocused in class. She also has troubles following instructions and skips
activities when left unsupervised.
Action Taken: You had a conference with her parents and found out from them that Clara was diagnosed with a
learning disability.
How will you modify the instructions for Clara to keep her focus on classroom activities? Write your reflections in
this form. Mention in your reflections a specific learning disability that you are familiar with or have researched on.

YOUR REFLECTIONS

I don’t have a student that can be considered with disability. However, there are students
that have less mastered skills from the previous grade level that needs remedial activities to
improve their less mastered skills like in the basic concepts in statistics like the measures of
central tendency.
To address such concerns, I made self-learning modules that will assist learners in
improving their less mastered skills. It involves mastery of the skills via different samples to
solve and answer.
Gladly the effect of the said initiative turned out to be of positive impact towards the
students that had less mastered skills.

OBJECTIVE 9: Designed, adapted and implemented teaching strategies that are responsive to learners with
disabilities, giftedness and talents

PROMPT #2
Design a lesson plan for the gifted and talented learners based on your idea on how they may be addressed in
your class. Your strategies for the gifted and talented learners must be highlighted and annotated in this form.
Attach your lesson plan here.

YOUR REFLECTIONS

One of the challenges I encountered as an STE teacher is that I have students that really
love and are gifted in terms of understanding Mathematics concepts. The challenge is that
during our online sessions they seem to get bored while their classmates are asking for
additional examples for better understanding.
To address this issue, what I do is present activities and examples that involves activities
from Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) to Higher Order thinking Skills (HOTS). This
concepts is also applied in giving activities like worksheets so that every level of learning
capacity of learners are catered and eventually addressed.
Moreover, this will also allow the learners to learn and get the chance to answer HOTS
activities to experience different learning levels in answering the Education for All mandate
where everyone is entitled to acquire learning to their best capacity.

COT Indicator 9
OBJECTIVE 10 Adapted and used culturally appropriate teaching strategies to address the needs of learners from
indigenous groups

PROMPT #1
Below is an assessment activity for a class of 30 learners, five of which belong to an indigenous peoples (IP) group.
Evaluate the appropriateness of the activity to your learners. Write your response in this form.
Directions: For your assessment, research on the following roles in your community by asking your parents or
anyone with knowledge on these roles. Choose from Set A and Set B. Explain why these are important roles.

YOUR REFLECTIONS

Here in our locality the students coming from indigenous groups are well blended with the
language or dialect that we use in our daily living. That is why during online class discussions
or even in giving instructions the English instructions is being translated to the local language
or dialect like Bisaya for them to catch up with the thought of the lesson.
In Math lessons, these are crucial part as it will provide opportunity for them to grasp the
complete thought of the lesson. However, it is also being presented in English language
specially that we are trying to develop our students to become a 21 st century learners where
they can compete with their foreign counterparts in equal footing.
In the delivery of the lessons specially in conducting home visits and remedial classes,
local officials like mayor, councilors and even barangay officials have important roles.
The role of mayor, councilors and medical officers is to establish connections between the
community, school and stakeholders in ensuring that message and information are well
disseminated and coordinated so that everything will be in order, in place and properly
coordinated

learning understanding, participation, engagement, and achievement.

YOUR ANNOTATIONS

In a teaching and learning setting whether it is in online, or classroom in-person set-up

classroom management is an important key to make sure that the teaching and learning
process is in order, ideal and productive.
In online class, I usually present a slideshow about netiquette whether in an online class or
even in the group chats. In this way, I can remind my learners to observe their manners and
not disturb others.
I also give chance for others to answer the questions by calling individually not in allowing
answers in chorus.
Whether the answer or response given is correct or not I always praise and give inspiring
words not to discourage the learners from sharing their answers and ideas. I also present
rubrics so that they can have reflections with their actions.

consistent implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures.

YOUR ANNOTATIONS

One of the challenges I face this school year is the consistency of getting the and
submissions of modules and outputs. In every session that we have I always remind my
students of the rubrics that I use in checking their outputs. Part of it is the timeliness. I remind
them that even if all their solutions and answers are correct it will never be a guarantee to
received 100% that is why I always inspire them to submit earlier or on time.
During submission and getting of modules I tell them to read instructions presented or
mounted on the walls of my classroom so that even if I am not around they can manage to
comply what they need to do.
