Plan Overview
Barangay Taboc Community Action Plan
1
B. Current Status
The barangay has existing streetlights but not enough to illuminate
the road for drivers and riders give that the barangay has multiple
humps and for the security of its constituents to prevent crime
especially those areas where installation of streetlights are not
given enough notice.
Most of Barangay Taboc's residents were concerned with their
barangay’s narrow spaced roads. Some stated that drivers have to
constantly slow down when another vehicle is approaching on the
opposite lane to avoid accidents or collisions. In other cases, some
vehicles are parked along the road, which makes the narrow road
even smaller. Road widening is highly recommended.
The current status of the inhabitants of the barangay is that 96%
speak the Waray-waray language. The common religion is Roman
Catholic which is 96% of the population. Most of the population
have acquired secondary education. The average monthly
household income is below ₱10,000.

C. BARRIERS AND
OPPORTUNITIES OF THE
COMMUNITY
Barriers
What are the weaknesses in the community?
Streetlight
- Purok 5 and 6 is primarily composed of households yet the place
does not have enough streetlights to light the dark streets. Since,
the road is too narrow – the darkness contributes to the quantity of
accidents that occurred within the vicinity.
Guardians lounge area for day care
- The day care center has no problem when it comes to the itsize and
accommodation extends but it was evident on peripheral basis that
the parents of the students occupied in the entire room more. To
make the place conducive, it would be best to provide them with a
lounge area – also for the benefit of their children.
Parking regulation
- The barangay probably haven’t provided yet as strict and impartial
parking regulation that’s why most roads are obstructed or
unaccessible.
Opportunities
What are the strengths in the community?
Gym/Evacuation area
- The gym/evacuation area is situated right at the heart of the
barangay – making it procurable and convenient to everyone.
ALS CLC Classroom
3
- The barangay provided the ALS CLC with a classroom wherein
they can fulfill their vision, mission, and goals. This is rewarding
because not every barangay has provided the same administration
and consideration to this system.
Frontline Services
- Has an elaborative frontline services plastered at the very front
façade of the barangay hall.
Approachable barangay captain
- The barangay council and staffs are approachable and
compassionate with the ideas and visions of this community
engagement. They provided us all the necessary instruments and
people to keep us guided.
