In each period of society, there are painful problems, stirring public opinion. An issue that people
are concerned about, monitoring every day is the problem of environmental pollution. Currently,
environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious in Vietnam. The state of urban
planning has not been associated with waste and wastewater treatment, so environmental
pollution in big cities, industrial parks and urban areas is at an alarming rate.
Soil pollution, water pollution, and air pollution have been taking place together causing great
consequences for human life. Out of a total of 183
industrial parks in the country, over 60% of
industrial parks do not have a centralized
wastewater treatment system. In urban areas, only
about 60% - 70% of solid quality is collected,
drainage and wastewater treatment infrastructure
does not meet the requirements of protective
environment... Most of the water. Untreated
quality is dumped directly into rivers and lakes and
is forecasted to be 510,000 m3 / day and night by
2010.

So what is the cause of these events? First, there is

a serious lack of awareness of many people,
especially young people. They think that what they
do is too small, not enough to harm the
environment. Or that the protection of the
environment is the responsibility of the state, the
government, not their own. Others think that the
environment has been polluted, no matter what they
do, it will be okay, and environmental pollution
will not affect them much... It is this situation of
"Everybody's business is nobody's business" that
has left great consequences. Another cause of
environmental pollution is the lack of responsibility
of businesses. They put a lot of emphasis on profit
maximization, many businesses violated the mining
process, significantly contributing to environmental pollution. Besides, it is the lack of strictness
in the management of environmental protection by the state that also abets acts of environmental
destruction to continue. Vietnam lacks strict environmental protection policies and regulations,
and because it is strongly attracting investment capital for development, it is easy to fall into the
"pitfall": becoming the recipient of many "dirty" industries. . For example, the steel rolling
industry consumes a lot of resources such as land, water, energy, and releases hazardous wastes
to the environment. In addition, the increasing number of vehicles circulating in our country also
contributes significantly to air pollution. Pollution causes a lot of harm that not only animals,
people will be directly affected victims. With human health, environmental pollution indirectly
causes dangerous diseases when they eat or drink, use contaminated water, organisms die due to
heavy lead poisoning, causing food poisoning, especially in Vietnam. South Vietnam is currently
the second country in the world because of the rate of people suffering from cancer.
Are there any measures to limit the harm caused by
environmental pollution? The answer is yes, our
country should have more investment policies for
campaigns, environmental protection work,
localities in places where there are often
gatherings or crowded people should allocate
trash effectively and efficiently. regularly clean
them or create an environmental day, mobilizing
people to ride bicycles and electric cars. In
addition, you can propagate to people about how
environmental harm affects their interests and
their families, raise awareness of limiting the use
of plastic, the use of chemical substances, The
machine should invest in buying modern and modern waste filtering equipment to protect the
environment. Each of us is aware of protecting the environment a little bit, it will make life better
and keep pollution away. Take action for yourself, for the environment, for life today and in the
future.
